About Us

Our Story:

My husband grew up with hunting dogs and when I was young my grandparents had Boxers, and I helped show their dogs. This was invaluable training when I showed and bred  my own ten Boxers. Dog shows afforded me the opportunity to meet and get close to a lot of breeds of dogs. 

No surprise - Miniature Dachshunds stole my heart!   We just had to have one, then 2,  then 3,  then 4,    + + +    

We love Dachshunds; they are the best dogs ever!  

Dachshunds are loyal, clever, curious, courageous, cuddly, protective, hilarious comedians, independent thinkers, have selective hearing, stubborn, they invented ‘Zooming’ and have a ‘big dog attitude in little bodies!’ – Absolutely PERFECT!

When our dogs are out and about people can’t resist stopping to pet them, to cuddle and get doggy kisses. Again and again they’d exclaim, “ your dogs are gorgeous, do you breed them ? I hope!!!  I hope!!!  Because I really want one of their puppies!”

We thought, what a great idea!  We love these dogs. Everyone does!  We have the background and training - we should do it!  

Thus, was born …

Our Desire:

It’s been a pure delight living with doxies for over twenty years.   

We want YOU to experience the companionship, amusement, joy, loyalty and love that comes with owning a dachshund. And they are super long-lived!

Our Vision:

Establishing and maintaining a reputable kennel and breeding program is a top priority.  All our dogs therefore, are AKC registered and health checked.

Sadly, many dachshund lines in Oregon have been over-bred and this was a concern, health, development and longevity are at risk.  We want dogs of excellence and superior quality.  After careful scrutiny, we acquired three of our females from a creditable AKC breeder on the east coast, integrating new bloodlines into Oregon.

We are so glad we did. Their puppies are spectacular - healthy, snuggly & feisty, with happy dispositions.

We specialize in Miniature Dachshunds with smooth coats. For colors - we have  Dapples, Reds, Creams, Piebalds, Isabellas, also Black & Tans, with more to come!

When choosing a new puppy, we genuinely want you and your puppy to be the ideal fit, the perfect permanent companions for years to come.

Dachshunds may not have a conversation using words, but they respond to human cues, are highly intuitive, superlative communicators and an excellent judge of character. That being the case, our dachshunds deftly do your interview!
